Chris earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN in 1995.  She worked as an RN in several different areas before returning to school to pursue her masters degree. 

 

She earned her Masters of Science Family Nurse Practitioner Degree from the University of Mary in Bismarck in 2014.  She is Board Certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Chris has 8 years of specialty experience in Diabetes Management​ and is Board Certified in Advanced Diabetes Management with the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES).

She is a member of the American Diabetes Association, the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the North Dakota Nurse Practitioners association.

Chris' daughter Sarah (23) has Type 1 diabetes that was diagnosed at the age of 18 months.  Experiencing diabetes first hand helps her understand and appreciate the challenges that people experience living with this chronic disease.  

 

Chris is married and has 3 children.  She enjoys spending time with her family; especially at the lake in the summer.  She loves doing "projects" around the house and watching hockey.
